Farm Manager

Meet Matt, the farm’s skilled overseer,
On New Meadows River, his purpose is clear.
More than a man, he runs the whole show,
With oysters and boats, his talents sure grow.

The fastest culler the East has seen,
His movements sharp, his technique is keen.
A silky boat driver, steady and true,
Guiding the vessel with a captain’s view.

When off the farm, he takes to the ice,
A goalie so quick, he’s precise and concise.
From farm to rink, both day and night,
Matt’s got the skills to do it just right!

When the ocean calls, Matt grabs his board,
Surfing the waves he can’t ignore.
From the farm to the rink and now to the sea,
Matt’s flow is as smooth as can be.

Kelly Morgan

Acuaculture apprentice

Kelly hails from SoCal’s sunny shores,
Where sailing and diving opened great doors.
Channel Islands, kelp forests, a life so grand,
Her passion for oceans was always in hand.

Three years she spent with SEA and Shoals,
On Brigantine schooners, achieving her goals.
Living with seabirds on the Isles of Shoals,
Gained skills and memories, filling her soul.

Now to the farm, Kelly’s ready to bring,
Her knowledge, her passion, to everything.
With waterpeople, hardworking and true,
She’ll guide aquaculture in a sustainable view.

When work is done, you might find her out,
Surfing the waves, or strumming about.
Sea shanties on banjo-lele, she plays,
Or whittling coconuts in the sun’s warm rays.

Chris Burtis

Co-Owner

Chris grew up by the ocean's side,
With knowledge of boats and the ways of the tide.
In 2018, the farm he helped start,
And since then, he's played a big part.

King of the Aux, day by day,
Maintaining the vibe in every way.
With woodworking skills, so deft and bright,
He builds farm equipment, sturdy and right.

A familiar face at shucking shows,
Representing Ferda, wherever he goes.
In his free time, stories he tells,
Of wild sea tales that cast their spells.

With his wife Matija, he spends his days,
Comparing Wordle in clever ways.
As co-owner, he’s known to inspire,
Keeping the hype going, he’ll never tire.

Max Burtis

Co-Owner

In high school’s senior year, Max took a chance,
Founding a farm with vision and stance.
Growing up digging clams by the shore,
In water’s embrace, he found his core.

Finding the best tech, he’s in his prime,
Max’s designs save effort and time.
Keeping things running oh so well,
His innovative touch, you can surely tell.

In free time, Max is not one to rest,
Digging clams, he’s truly blessed.
Hiking through Maine’s majestic woods,
Finding peace in nature’s goods.

Industry events, he attends with pride,
Sharing knowledge far and wide.
Max Burtis, a visionary soul,
Guiding the farm towards its goal.

Bosun Burtis

Bosun’s a veteran, strong and true,
With sea legs sure in waters blue.
His work’s unmatched, he leads the way,
Flipping cages day by day.

If only thumbs were in his grip,
He’d tie a knot, he’d sail the ship!
But paws or not, through tide and spray,
He keeps the crew in check each day.
